Travelodge by Wyndham Newport

I’m rating it five star because of the value for the price. The person that checked us in was amazing and sweet and repeated several times that if we need to add anything extra like bedding or blankets or pillows, please just ask and he’ll get them right away. He also asked us what kind of room we wanted and where for instance if we would rather have ground floor, but there’s people on either side or upper floor without people next to us. I appreciated these options being asked. The bed was comfortable enough and a king size. The heater in the room worked well there was a microwave and fridge that we didn’t see advertised. There were also options of little granola bars and bananas in the morning. We didn’t see any sort of breakfast advertised so it was a nice surprise. We really just got it for the cheapest room possible for an overnight stay. My only suggestion would be to roll up a towel to put in front of your shower or your whole bathroom will be flooded. I can see that they tried to make it a little more room in the shower, but as a result, the curtain does not keep water in. I have added a picture. Again, though this doesn’t affect my rating because the room was so inexpensive.

We loved our stay here. Many restaurants within walking distance. The owner/host is very knowledgeable about the community and festivals ect. It is on the main road but it was very quiet and peaceful at night. Rooms are decent and beds are comfy..

Perfect experience! The front desk clerk was very professional and friendly! He helped us have a relaxing and smooth first experience.This motel is a nice place to relax on a long road trip. Beautiful rooms, great prices, and attention to detail is abundant. Quiet and clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the showers have great pressure and temperatures. Security latches and deadbolts are in each room. There is a mini fridge/freezer combo, microwave, and coffee pot. The desk in our room has a comfortable chair for online work. They also have a hair dryer, iron and board, and extra chairs. We stayed in the king bed room and slept great with no outside noise issues. All stairs featured non slip pads ( nicely appreciated) parking is in front of rooms , with an overflow for larger vehicles at the end of the lot. We will most definitely stay here again on our next trip! We had a wonderful experience. They were the most affordable motel in the area, but had the most beautiful rooms we have stayed in along the coast. 10 stars!

Clean, good rooms. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Only downside is the road noise is fairly audible inside the room, even from midway down the length the hotel.

The service was great! The room was comfy, we asked for extra towels & more decaf coffee and they gave it to us with no hesitation. The room smelt a little funky (stale or dusty) but, wasn't enough to ruin the good experience we had there. Only a few minutes away from most things we wanted to do in Newport!

Alex the front desk clerk was very professional yet also had a unique personality and was kind and accommodating. He even helped us carry our bars to our rooms. The room was exactly what we expected and the beds were comfortable. It’s right off the highway so easy access to everything and who needs a beach view when you can drive or walk there within minutes?

Appreciate the ironing board, the solid Wi-Fi and the location to restaurants. My only minor gripe is the easy step-in shower makes more water leak on the floor so I burned through the towels faster. Front desk reps were personable!

We had to escape the rain because I am not the most adventurous camper, turns out. My son and I showed up and got an amazing deal on a room! We had stayed in a yurt the night before, which was fun, and the next day we ran around the beach for hours. All amazing! But this mama was exhausted. Traveling solo with my little boy, I had to cut some corners. I’m so grateful for the kind and caring manager who found us a good deal on a room. The room was quiet, and felt safe. The bed and pillows were sooooooooo comfy. What a luxurious night, compared to the night before. We were warm and dry, and mama slept well. THANK YOU
